Designed by UFO agency’s Creative Director James Brown, Design Assembly was brought on board to the Tropicola project for design development, construction drawings and supervision, plus procurement.

With three bars, three levels, two restaurant spaces, an open barbecue kitchen, two pools, retail spaces and multiple decks, you might say that the five-month deadline was a tad tight. But our studio team along with the specialists we brought on board for lighting, metal work, signage, and other detailing, pulled it together. Tropicola beach club was finished and opened on time in all of its 80s inspired glory.

There are now some plans bubbling away for us to work with James and the Tropicola team again in the same way for a 60-seater restaurant, a rooftop bar and potentially accommodation. Watch. This. Space.
