A seafood restaurant shaped through collaboration with local craftspeople and makers.

UNI Restaurant is a casual fine-dining seafood restaurant located in Canggu, Bali.

The project involved the complete redesign and renovation of an existing restaurant space. Our studio developed the architectural and interior concept, oversaw construction and coordinated the sourcing and production of materials, furniture and fittings.

Craft and local collaboration played a central role in shaping the character of the space. Much of the interior was produced in partnership with makers and studios across Bali. Custom lighting pieces were developed together with Studio Nimmersatt, while planting and green design were created in collaboration with Larch Studio.

Many elements throughout the restaurant were fabricated locally, including bespoke joinery, stonework and interior finishes. These pieces were designed to create a tactile and layered material palette that feels both refined and relaxed.

A small number of imported materials were introduced as accents within the overall composition, including handmade bottle-green bar tiles from Japan and acoustic ceiling panels sourced from Germany.

The result is a warm and understated dining environment that balances craft, material richness and a relaxed coastal atmosphere.
